The final game in the Lai Wah Cup competition attracted a good crowd to the Hong Kong F.C. ground at Happy Valley. H.E. Major General Sandilands accom- panied by his A.D.C. Captain Cameron arrived before the kick off. Mr. R. M. Dyer, President Hong Kong F.A, and Mrs. Dyer were also present. Bewley Bull won the toss and set the Civilians facing the sun. The teams lined but as under, the only change from the advertised teams being Miles in places of Rocha for the Civilians.

Playing at King's Park, the HK.F.O. Res, did well to secure a point. Turning out one short the visitors surprised the Recreio and at one time in the game they had 1 two goals' lead. CHINA ATHLETIC "A" v. ROYAL NAVY RES. "These teams met at the Stadium and a fast game ended in favour of the home team by three goals to one. The sailors were fully expected to win and by losing are now one point behind the E.0.S.D. on matches played.

Chow Tim Cheung opened the score and the Navy were a goal down at the interval.

On resuming a surprise came when Mak Kwok Tung run through the Navy defence and registered another goal for the Athletic.

Cartwright reduced the Athletic'e lead but the Athletic came again and Pong Tat Sum went through to register the third goal for his side,

Of the three Senior League games down for decision on Saturday, two were brought to a definite conclu sion, the third-the Chinese r. Navy fair was not played, as the former have withdrawn from the League. Hong Kong Cricket Club beat the Varsity while the Craigengower C.C. created something of a sur prise by taking full points from the Army.

In the second division the Police Recreation Club easily accounted for their neighbours, the C.S.C.C. while the two games at Sookunpoo between the R.A.S.C.-Craigengewer and I.R.C.-Kowloon were full of thrills, the visitors winning in both

H.R.C.C.. UNIVERSITY.

Last Season: H.K.0.0. won by

This game was played on the Club ground and after the visitors had compiled 152 for the loss of 7 wickets they declared their innings closed. The Club went for the runs in a business-like manner and pass- ed this total after six of their wickets had fallen.

Last Season: Results not available. A capital game was seen at Soo- kunpoc and towards the closing stages excitement ran high, as the wickets down R.A.S.C., with wanted 7 runs to win. Muskett, the Craigengower captain, rose to the occasion and in his last, over took the remaining wickets amidst cheers.

Craigengower batted first, and, thanks to 58 from Leonard and 27 from Hamson, managed to pass the century mark by runs. For the soldiers Fry took 7 wickets for 40

runs.

Marshall (4) and Lyons (33) gave the Tommies" a good start but they were unable to push home their advantage. Abbas bowled well for his 4 wickets for 23 runs and Muskett took 3 wickets for 32 runs.

There was a poor attendance at the Stadium yesterday when the Royal Navy engaged China Athletic in a friendly game at the North Point Stadium.

The teams turned out as under :- China Athletic: Chan Sik Pui Le Wai Man and Ng Kum Chuen; Ho Choi Yin, Wong Shui Wah and Lam Yuk Ying: Teo Kwai Shing, on top, both sets of forwards striv- Wong Shui Wo, Ho Ka Keung, ing bard to get within shooting dis-Suen Kum Shun and Chan Kwong tance.
