GAME.
MAS, ROGER C, TREDWELL PRESENTS THE PRIZES.
As a wind-up to the baseball season, the South China Athletio Association, league champions for 1029, played, an exhibition game with The Rest " at the Navy Field, Caroline Hill, yesterday.
It was evident from the start that "The Rest"
were going to win and this they did by the mar gin of a run, the final scores being
in their favour.
Eddie Chang was off colour, and this necessitated a change in the battery after a few innings-M. Goo going on in his place. Yet another change took place after Goo had a trial, but M. Chang's efforts were of no avail. The Rest played an excellent game, and the felding of the "Kiaora " repre- sentatives, C. B. Ng at "short" and C. K. Leung at centre-feld deserves the highest praise.

Big Ben Zaire of the Filipino crew and in doing this Mrs. Tred- well said:-" Mr. Zafra, I under- stand you are the Babe Ruth of Hong Kong, and I congratulate you."
The Ground Trouble. ‚ ̈ -The American Consul-General, Mr. Roger C. Tredwell, made ahort speech in the course of which he mentioned that in spite of the enormous amount of trouble they. had in getting a ground, the season. had proved a very successful one. A this he attributed to the hard work put in by their indefatigable Mr. Secretary, Mr. Hong Sing. Tredwell said that he had done his best about getting a suitable field for the Association and hoped that they would be better off in this respect when the next season comes" round. He concluded by congratu- lating the South China A.A. on winning the championship and “Zafes on again winning the Home- Bua Cup. As regards the latter, Mr. Tredwell had given a cup for the most home-run hits before and the reason why he stopped doing so was because Zafra seemed to be winning it every timel
Three cheers were then called for Mrs. Tredwell, and heartily given.
