The mistress of a passenger boat appeared beford the Hon. Comdr. G. F. Hole, R.N., for unlawfully carrying cargo on her craft. De fendant pleaded guilty and a fine of $10 or 10 days," was imposed.

For carrying 18 passengers in excess of the number allowed by his license the master of a coolie boat was fined $50 with the alter native of 3 weeks."

The master of Chuen Chow on pleading guilty to not having entered his ship at the Harbour Office within the specified time was fined 850 or three weeks.

Mr. Leo D'Almada, who appear ed for Chow Jar Ho, the manager of the Sai Nam S.S. Co. who was recently fined $1,000 for inter ferring with the Chief Officer of the Charles Hardouin while the vessel was under way, applied for a re-hearing of the case.

The case was remanded sine die.
