Yunnanfu (U.P.):-Strict orders have been given by the Government of India that Captain Erich Von Salzmann, the widely. well-known Gorman newspaper correspondent, be forbidden entry to Burma en route to Rangoon, Von Salimana has informed the United, Fress.
A Later Message..
This unusual order was conveyed to Von Salzmann, according to the journalist's statement, by the British Consul de Yunaaniu, Mr. Cecil Kirke. Von Salzmann and his secretary have been making an arduous trip up the Yangtand from Shanghai and across country and the denial of transic through Burma has em- barrassed him greatly because all mail, money and "luggage had been sant te Rangoon, which now cannot be reached...

His only recourse was to seek the privilege from the French of obtaining a transit visa through Indo Chima to Siam, whore be expected to go to Bangkok and thence around to Raagociï and the missing luggage by sea
The arrival at Yunnanfu was after an extraordinary journey of 94 days-24 marching and two rest ing-from Suif on the upper reaches of the Yangtze, grossing northern Yunnan province.
