The victory of both club teams has been thoroughly well deserved. LEAGUE RESULTS.

(THROUGH REUTER'E AGENCY.)

LONDON, Feb. 27th. Playing at home in Division L of the Scottish League to-day, the Airdrieonians defeated Ayr United by three goals to nil.

The Chinese settled down in the third set and by mixing up their shots judiciously, they began to pule Redmand and Hale, who found it hard to control the ball. Steady play, and good lobbing toned the game. in favour of the Chinese. The fourth and last set was the best of the match and an interesting struggle was seen in which the British pair showed up extremely well in an uphill fight. Losing the first game, Ho Wai Hing and Chiu Tsun Chiu led at 2-1, 3-2, 4-3 and 6-3. Redmond and Hale made is 5-4 and in the tenth game the Chinese were three times within point of winning the set, but the former pair defended determinedly and equalised, 5 all, eventually wianing the set at 7-5, for the
