NEW YORK, Sept. 28th. The latest victim of promiscuous shooting by Prohibition agents Miss Betty Heywood, aged 20, an English girl, who was seriously wounded in the neck when agents opened fire on the inator-car in which she was a passenger.

From the hospital Heywood went to the police station, but found that the Prohibition officers, who were members of a special squad operating directly under the orders of Mayor J. C. Standen, Lorain, had not reported the affair. "In stead they had gone home to bed, but they were quickly taken out and ledged in cells by the police pend- ing investigation.
The Mayor defends the action of the men, bus the public demand the abolition of the special squad. The other two officers blamed Cicco for shooting. He did not denix it, but said that he was merely trying to hit the tyres after the command to halt had been ignored."

FROM MARSEILLES, da ONLINEES of Cargo by the above named steamer, are hereby informed that their Goods with the. exception of Opium, Tresence and Valu- ables are being landed and placed at their risk in the Godowns of the Hong Kong and Koploon Wharf and Godown Co., Ltd., Kowloon, whence Delivery con be obtained as the Goods are landed.
Goods not cleared within 7 days in- clading date of arrival, will be subject to rent
All Claims must be sent to the Under- signed before Thursday, the 1st November, 1928, or they will not be
Damaged Packages will be examined
by the Consignees, and the Company's Surveyors, Messrs. Goddard & Donglas at 10 am. on Monday, the 29th Octo bor, 1929,
No Olaims will be admitted after the Goods have left the Godowna.
No Fire Insurance will be effected by us in any case whatever,
