The s.. Newchwang of Messrs. Butterfeld & Swire, and commad- ded by Captain Bathurst arrived in Hong Kong. yesterday and went into dock for survey, An enquiry at the agents revealed that the ship had met with a slight collision with the s. Haining (Douglas, Laprak & Co.) in Swatow Harbour as the former was leaving. The damage to both vessels was very slight and both proceeded on their voyage. However, the s, Newchuang went into dock on arrival for survey and this proving satisfactory she pro- ceeded to Cantan yesterday.
