A message from Mr. T. A. Glover, the explorer, who, with his wife, was reported killed in Central Africa some months ago was pub- lished last month in the Daily Mail.

Mr. and Mrs. Glover left England at the end of December 1996 to search for fauna for the British Museum. They were heard from in a letter written from Faya by Mrs. Glover on September 98th last.
Then nothing was heard of them for some months, and it was re- ported they had been killed by robbers.
A search party was sent out by the French authorities in the colony of Equatorial Africs, but at that very time Mr. Glover was writing his message.
Before he despatched it he heard of the report, and he appends the following note to his message :-
Since writing this account of our travels we have learned from the French authorities that they had reported as killed in action
with robbers.
A French camel corps was sent to try and find our remains. They failed to connect with us and returned to Mao Kanem,
where later they were relieved to hear we had returned safely from
Tibesti.
Mr. and Mrs. Glover penetrated into the interior 1,000 miles beyond any point hitherto reached by a white woman,
