Coal And Rice Shipments. Besides general cargo, there were also 133 tons of con unloaded for local consumiption by four vessels. Of these, 5,333 tons were ou British ateazers, Two vessels also brought
3.124 tons of rice for this port. These make the total of the Colony's Imports to 19,073 tons.
Through Cargoes. Although only eleven steamere carried through freights the total tonnage was exceptionally heavy, There were no less than 40,604 tons manifested. Several of the steamers were heavily loaded. The H.B. Sarpedon from Shanghai had 9,145 tons, the s... Ramnefjell, a Nor- wegian steamer from Tsingtao se counted for 9,000 tons, and the Italian vessel Romulo, 7,352 tons also from Shanghai. The total carried by British steamers was 13,081 tone.
