Horlick's Malted Milk is invaluable in the sick-room.
Ordinary milk is frequently,
distasteful to the patient and is, moreover, hard to digest. In Horlick's, the milk is rendered
assimilable by the addition of
malt and the patient's strength is built up by the added wheat.

BIAS BAY AGAIN.
PIRATING OF JARDINE STEAMER.
OFFICERS AND PASSENGERS ROBBED OF PERSONAL EFFECTS.
COMPRADORE LOSES $6,500: ONE EUROPEAN WOUNDED.
CRUISER LEAVES FOR BIAS BAY.
ה
Undeterred by the recent ints of the "Sunning" pirates of the Blas Bay gang Bids Bay Enterprises Unlimited," they can be called have taken their toll of Hong Kong Shipping. Fortunately on this occasion the loot has not been considerable. In fact as a priacy it was rather a tame affair. Only one person was hurt, no fight was possible, cargo was not touched, and the only losses been in respect of personal properly-clothing and money-by the officers, some of the Chinese deck passengers, and by the Com pradors. Further the vessel was only three and a' kal! hours late In her arrival bere.
The latest victim of the Blas Bay priates was the Indo-Ching' Steam Navigation Company's steamer "Hop Sang," plying between. Hong Kong, Swatow and Shanghai, The vessel fell into the hands of the gang after leaving Swatow or Monday evening. About mid- night the gang secured full control of the ship, the officers being herded into the Second Ocer's room, and kept there, except for the navigating officer, until Bias Bay was reached.
The officers were guaranteed courteous treatment, provided they "behaved," and a promise not to molest passengers or cargo was given on condition that the ship was steered for Rias Bay. This promise was more or less kept by the pirates, and there was no Ill-treatment or ill-usage of those on board.
No defnita estimate of the loss can be given, but it seems that $10,000 will cover it. The heaviest loser was the Chinese Com- pradore, who is understood to have been robbed of $6,500, which was entrusted to him to bring to Hong Kong. The deck passengers and various members of the crow have lost small articles, in cloth- ing and money, and the culcars were robbed of uniforms and maiti suits while some have lost money. Officers losses amount to about $2,000 all told:

V
The most serious incident in the affair was the wounding by a revolver bullet of the only European passanger on board, a Dutch business gentleman from Swatow, who during a struggle with the pirates was shot in the foot, and is now a patient at the French Hospital.
Following the arrival bers of the Hop Sang" a cruiser was despatched to the neighbourhood of Bias Bay, anu it is under- stood that other warships in port will leave for thera to-day.

POLICE GO ON BOARD.
ONLY DELAYED THREE HOURS,
The news that another China Coast piracy had been added to the long and steadily growing list com- piled by the Bias Bay pirate gangs reached Hong Kong shortly after nine o'clock yesterday morning, coming by wireless from the Hop Sang. This was following her abad- donment by the pirates in Blas Bay. In this message was given the in- timation that a European passenger had been wounded, and that a doctor, but not an ambulance would be required on the arrival of the vessel in port.

A steamer was passed after the pirates gained control. She signal- led with a Morm lamp, but the affioers wore ordered, under penalty of being shot, and the ship burned, not to reply or call for assistance.

STEAMER SIGHTED BUT NOT SIGNALLED.

Captain W. J. Booker (Master of the Hop Song) told a Daily Press reporter the following story:
I went to bed about 10.30 p.m. feeling very tired and soon dropped off to sleep. About ten minutes to twelve I heard a scuffling on the upper bridge, right over my head. I was not sure whether it was im- agination or not, but putting on my dressing gown, I decided to in- I had just got outside vestigate.

which I promptly did.
They then took me aft, and apparently, from their actions decided to tie me up to a stanchion with the cord of my dressing gown. I called out to the Chief Officer and told him the bridge was in charge of pirates. The pirates then motioned me get the Compradore, or some inter preter, for I did not understand their dialect, which I think was Hakka. The Chief Officer came and he was also held up with revolvers, and taken down with me, under escort, to a Chiness aft room 'tween decks. We were left there. under an armed guard of two men. When I got there I found that`s steamer wis in sight, about two miles away, and was morsing with her lamp to us, It was explained to me that if we got any assistance, or let the other steacher know what had happened, answered her signal all the Europeans would be shot, and the ship burned
