ANCE.
Not since the Leaguo was com- menced in October have there been so many interesting matches »and! fing individual performances in one alterncou as on Saturday. The .standard of cricket in Hong Kong is being well maintained and the game is as popular as ever.
In one of the matches, Goodwin (Kowloon and Interporter) had the distinction of not only performing the "hat trick,” but of taking four wickets with consecutive balls, clean bowling all his victims. This is, perhaps, the most noteworthy bowling performance since the "ha;" trick by R. E. O. Bird in the Hong Kong-Shanghai Interport match in 1920. Already in some quarters it is claimed to be a local record and a performance of this nature At Home in good class cricket earna a place in Wisden's Almanac."

Recreio r. Indian R.Ü. Played on the Recreio ground at King's Park, the Indian Recrea- tion Club winning.
Frequent changes of bowling by the Indian Captain, Sirdar Khan, had much to do with the break down of the Recreio batting. Fast bowlers were tried in A. S. Ismail'
and A. S. Suffad, medium bowlers in Sirdar Khan, A. R. Minu and Ackber, and slow bowling in M. P. Madar. The Recreio batamen felt confused and the only one to make a stand was E. de Neuss who at attacked the bowling and scored 34 cut of the 107 compiled by his side. The Indians passed their oppon- eats total easily. A. S. Sund, he is batting very well for bis was the chief contributor with 63, not out..
The match was an important one and decided who should take the lead in the Table.,
