Tin was taken on the Titania and the start for the afternoon race was made from the finishing line

The distance of the morning race was 6.6 miles, and the afternoon rag 7.6 miles
Following the usual practice, the boats, sailed by the Club in the anorning were sailed by the Navy in the afternoon, and vice versa. There were different helmsmen on each occasion, however.

On Saturday afternoon, at the conclusion of the racing, warm welcome was extended at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club to Com. modore J. L. Pearson, B.N._(the successor to Rear-Admiral A, JE. Stirling at the Royal Naval Dock yard). Commodore Pearson that day sailed his first race since his arrival in the Colony.
