Hongkong Club - Sonih China. Playing at home, the Eong Kong Chub bent South China by two goals to mil-
For the Club McBride played back, and his place was taken in the middle line by Vickers of the Reserves. "Howard played centre forward.
The opening play was mostly in mid- field. From a ceatre by Taylor, Hansom headed on to Key who sent in and Lau partly cleared but with an overhead kick Hansom lobbed the ball into the net. The Club came back again and Taylor should have increase their lead but turn- ed the ball wide.. Halftime: H.K.-Club 1, South China 0.
After a spell of even play Howard from twenty-five yards out sent in a fast crose shot which hit the foot of the up- right and shot into the net, Lau making no attempt to save, thinking the ball was going outside. Towards the close, South China played, up strongly but though the Club goal had several narrow escapes, there was no further score, South China thus being beaten by two goals to nil Mr. A. A. Dawes was the referee.
Club de Recreio v. China Athletic, A large crowd of Chinese supporters visited the Recreio's new ground at King'' Park to cheer their favourites, bat the Club de Recreio were on top of their farm and Although they lost their centra half in the first portion of the game, they beat the Athletic by five goals to one. The Recreio opened the score through Brown but Wong Pak Chong brought the teams level. Then Brown again and though A. A Remedios was injured and retired from the game, D. Xavier acored for the beme team who were lead- ing at the interval by three goals to one.
In the latter stages the Athletic showed signs of a strenuous first ball, and before the final whistle the Recreio put on a fifth without any reply from the Athletic who were thus defeated by five goals to one. Capt. Austin, B.A., was the referee. Kowloon v. "Tamar."
The Tamar did not play up to expecta. tions on the Railway ground at Kowloon and went down to the home team by three clear goals. Kowloon had to bring in several Reserves and were forced to postpone their junior A game. The game was very one-sided. Eastinan scored the opening goal and before the interval, Miles had put the home team further ahead.
In the second half the sailors played better but Simms was in great form, Mair bad scored another goal for Kow loon who won by three goals to mil.
