In the League match, played yesterday afternoon, South China defeated the Filipinos by five runs to one.
The play ran evenly in the first six innings with South China leading by the odd run in three, but ide.fielding of the Filipinos, which up to that time had bren very good, went to pieces owing to a crop of wild throws and errors which gave South China an additional three' rans in their last inning,
The only run scored by the Filipinos came from Leonard, who got to second on a hit and was assisted by Zafra with
a three-bagger."
