The figures in the shipping statements for both Saturday and yesterday showed a decrease in the amount of cargo car- ried, compared with the returns for Friday. The Saturday #gures recorded the biggest drop, however, the returns re

Thero covering considerably yesterday. was a total decrease shown on Saturday,

hours, of 13,669 tons. compared with the previous twenty-four Hongkong cargo bad gone down by 2,400 tons and that for ports beyond by 14,263 tons.

While yesterday's freight was still a couple of thousand tons down on Friday's total, yet there was a total inorense shown on the Saturday Bgures of 15,915 tons. Hongkong cargo went up by 10,358 tons and freight for ports beyond by 4,859

taps.
