The interest taken in local football was demonstrated on Saturday when a very large crowd turned out to witness the exhibition game on the Hongkong F.C. ground Between the Hongkong interport) team and Souta China. The first half of "the game was very keenly contested; but when La Hing Cheung, South China's goalkeeper was injured early in the second half, interest in the game fell off, but was revived when South China scored their second goal, while the equaliser was received with tremendous applause.

The Interport team were set to defend the pavilion goal, with the sun their eyes. Gosano put the ball in motion and the opening exchanges were even.
