Turning to the Accounts, you will notice that the mortgage of $888.000 on the site and building referred to in my apeech a year ago, bas been reduced to 8374,000 by the issue of 21,000 shares 87 each, plus a premium of 87 equalling $14 per share. These bares have all been taken up, and the premium on these shares, viz: 8147,000, has been placed to General Reserve Account, which, I am sure you will agree, places our Company in a very strong financial position. The property we own is a very valuable site and as soon as the Exchange building.is completed, should appreciate in value, owing to the fact that this will be the shopping centre of the Colony.

Another extremely dull week has to be recorded, with practically no buying! and infinitesimal clearances, to which has to be added another important native failure involving well over 3,000 packages of dyed cotton goods which will of course, have to be liquidated at the best price they will fetch.
