A French scientist is reported to have discovered after rears of research a reme dy for snaring. He finds that this objec Honably performanos is the result of a narrowing of the passages between the nose and the throat, and adds the corollary that the condition is more common in country dwellers.
It is remarkable that it should have been found necesary to broadest such a fuding after the propaganda work which has beet: undertaken during the past few years. But the idea till persists that snoring is a habit dependent upon want of contreft an the part of the performer.

TOO EASY DIVORCES.
American divorees in Paris will no longer, e simple affairs, as in the past. (writes the Daily Telegraph's correspon dent). When Americans wanted to get rid of their matrimonial yokes they re- paired here in streams and found the freedom they sought with the minimum of trouble. The Paris Courts obtained an enviable reputation for effecting lightning divorces, but French justice, far from being Battered, has found it neces sary to overhaul the dachinery which worked too freely, in the interest of cer tain American society people. In future the French Courts will only grant divorces on grunds that are admissible by the huine States of the applicants, and the judgments must be accompanied by the publicity of that State. As a result of the decree. forty American applications for divorce have been withdrawn since December. Last month there were forty- eight applications awaiting the signatures of juters.
