The mixing of the concrete is done by a modern machine. The whole of this work is done by unskilled labour, and one unskilled man can turn out about 100 slabs per day. Each house of the English type requires about 100 slabs, so that to manufacture the slabs it takes (theoretically) ten days' service of one nan to produce the number required for one house.
