CLASSICAL DANCING.

MISS VIOLET CAPELL'S PUPILS AT

ROYAL THE

THEATRE

A delightful exhibition of classient dancing was given at the Theatro Royal on Saturday night by the pupils of Miss Violet Capell. The entertainment was staged in aid of the Loudon Hospital and local charities, and was organized by Miss Capell with the assistance of Miss Daisy O'Keefe. To both these ladies great credit is due for the way in which they trained the dancers; the exhibition was graceful and beautiful, and was thoroughly enjoyed by the very large audience in attendance. The lighting effects were clever, and added, il that were possible, to the charms of the performers. The costumes were particu- larly pretty and effective, The ensembles were all exceptionally well done, and evid great pains on the part of the pro ducer, One item which was particular enjoyed by reason of its qimintuess was the Dutch dance by the Misses Phyllis Capell, Kathleen McKewen, Ids Rase and Essie Rase. Amongst those who also took part were the Misses Audrey Steele, Winnie Henderson, Dorothy Pitcairn. Palsy Nicoll. Betty Pestonfi, Allison Mackenzie, and Edith Mende :
