The Cadian Government Mercantile Marine steamer Curadian Highlander (Captain Fisher) arrived at Yokohama recauty from Vancouver on her maiden voyage" to the Orient.
The anodian Highlander is one of Bitty-six steners (aggregating 300,000 tons) constructed for the Canadian Gov. ernment, and is the first of three placed on a regular monthly service between Van- couver and Oriental ports, ri Yokohama, She brought 5.100.000 feet of lumber For Oriental ports, mostly Kobe. Taku Bar and Newchwang
It is stated that this is the biggest ship- ment of lumber ever brought from Van. couver to the Orient
