wero present Messra S. e. Pook (managing director), C. H. Lyson 'and Lau Towing (directors), C., Bond (svere tary), and four shareholders.
The CHAIRMAN said:-The nett proft) for the year under review is 816.162.81, which is a decrease of $15,877.06 as com pared with that for the previous year. This, your diretors attribute to the fact that some of our lines had to be sold at very low prices to meet competition by other dealers, who were apparently able to take advantage of the high ex- change then prevailing, whereas we had to dispose of our stock laid down at lower rates of exchange. The profit of 816,162.61, together with the baintea of $4,858.58 brought forward from credit of profit and 1088 account for 1910, makes a total credit of 890,818.18. which your directors recommend to be disposed of as follows: To pay. dividend of $1 per share 00 18,106 shares which will absorb *18,105 and carry forward the balance of $2,713.10 to this year's account. The Company has now to face the effects of the increased duty on wines and spirts, and it remains to be son to what extent it will affect Consumption. We are fortunate in har- $35,000 also a general reserve of $20,000 ing A large stock reserve of the value of to fall back upon, should we require it but your directors sincerely trust that instead of having to draw on our geners! reserve, we may, at the end of the carrent year. be in
