The sailors had several good openings, but the Police custodian, A new man, knew his job very well, 'and rushed out of goal every time danger threatened and cleared. Towards the close of the game when everyone was con-

After 3 for 91, how would have shot, but one of the sailors? the ball to enemy territory, and Grimmett hacks, in trying to clear, had the mis- fortune of handling the ball within the penalty area. The penalty kick which was awarded to the Police was taken by Robin- som, who made no mistake. The exilors mado strenuous efforts to draw level but the sturdy defence of the Police proved effective. Although the Police, considering the hard struggle they pas,up, deserved to wip, the sailors had very hard lines in being knocked out of the running of the competition in the first match, through a penalty:

KOWLOON, 3; Kowloon secured, a very decisive win over the Cadmus tenan in their match on Saturday, and showed that they mean to give every team in the competition "a good gun for their money. Despite the fact that the sailors assumed the offensiva first, they found the defence put up by Jackson and Wheeler, at back, and Kyder in goal, too sound for them.
