Speaking at the National War Savings Association banquet in London, Mr. Chamberlain, the Chancellor of the Ex chequer, announced that the Government was making an early issue of Five-Year Exchequer Bonds bearing interest at the rate of 5 per cent, to meet the 6 per cent Exchequer Bonds which will be maturing in February, 3 per cent.
