Travellers and Tourists journeying between Tokyo and Peking should travel rid the South Manchuria Railway, which runs from Fasan to Mukden and passes through magnificent scenery and furnishes the last link in the newest highway round the world. Only a short ses passage (about 10 hours) between, Shimonoseki and Fusan. From capital to capital by express trains the journey occupies only 8 days. The ordinary dialy trains bet reen Fusen and Mukden have sleeping and dining accommodation.
This line connects at Mukden (the ancient capital of China) with Peking-Mukder Line and the main line of the South Manchuris Railway, which connects the Trans-Siberian Route with the sea-board
at Dairen, where there are several regular steamer services.
