DEATH OF OLD HONGKONG

The interment took place in the Jewish Cemetery, Happy Valley, on Sunday, of Mrs. Isase Ellis, who passed way at 1, Pedder's Hill, on Saturday evening, in her 83rd year. The late Mra. Ellie, who was very well known to the `Jewish community in Hongkong, came to the Colony from Bombay as long ago as 1867 with her husband, who pre-deceased her in 1900, Mr. Ellis having been engaged by Messrs, E. D. Sassoon & Co. On March 15th, 1908, the late Mr. and Mrs. Ellis celebrated their diamond wedding in Hongkong, and were the recipients of numerous congratulations The late Mrs. Ellis had been in failing health for wome many philanthropic missions among the time, but despite this, she carried out
