BOILS & BLOTCHES.

A person suffering from eruptions in the skin has much to endure. It is not merely the discomfiture and irritation and painful sensation, but life is made miserable by depression of spirits. The liver is torpil and the kidneys are partially inoper ative, and you feel languid and weak. The disease is in the blood, and which the system is not cleansed through the usual channels Nature asserts herself and forces portions of the impurities through the skin in the form of Pimples, Boils and Elotches. External remedies- powders, ointments, lotions only alleviate; they do not get at the cause, Dr. Morse's Indian Root Pills get at the cause by removing the disease from the Blood. They cleanse the system by stimulating the liver and strengthening the kidneys, which filter the Blood and drive out the impure matter through the bowels,

They are perfect Eload. Parifier and positive and permanent cure for Bilioane, In- digestion, Constipation, Headachon, Sallow Complexion, Liver and Kidney Troubles, Piles, Pimples, Boil and Klotches, and for Female Allmeria

ELLAMS B. 19 ROTARY-

DUPLICATOR.

Has achieved a success unequalled by any other Rotary-Duplicator. This is due to simplicity of working and the excellence of fitting of the parts. It has caused a complete revolution in Duplicating, and the production of perfect copies by the Rotary-Machine is now B certainty.

From a well written original any boy can make thousands of copies on any paper, and ench and will be perfect.

There is absolutely nothing to go out of order, and the apparatus is always ready for use. There is a mechanical device which allows the copy to be made in any position on the paper.

The pressure-roller is regulated by a simple lever, and the arrangement is so made that

it is impossible for the operator to have dificulty with his work,

The printing cylinder is geared so that one turn of the handle makes a copy.

A most important advantage ELLAMB "B 19" possesses is that the ink never drips. and raus all over the Duplicator se on other Machines

The luk never dries on the rollers or pals, and copies can be made on any kind of popsr. Moreover, this ink does not stain the hands in any way.

There is so pooplist or complicated fastening of the stencil-sheet to the Duplicator. The ELLAMS " 8 19" Duplicator is so absolutely simple that it requires po experience whatever to produce perfect copies from it-there is no calculating or

(Continued from. Page 7.) "Father," said Susic, bending closer, her face almost touching him," father, speak

to me."

There was a movement, and she spoke again in a frightened tone.

Geoff Geoff!" she cried in heart, breaking tones that caused Harry Burney intense mental paiu.

*

Geoff knelt down, took his father's hand, and, as he did so, shuddered;,lien he placed it quietly down and looked at Susie.

Speak to hint, Geoff!" she said in a broken voice, he may licar you.'

The doctor placed his hands kindly on her shoulder, as he said in a low voice:

"It is useless, Miss Lovett. Your father will never

speak again," "Dead" said Susie, horror in her eyes. He nodded, and turned his head away. She did not faint or cry bitterly, she got up, drew herself to her full height, and pointing to Harry Burney, said in a piercing

voice:

You have killed my father

He shrank back specebless: he had no answer ready. A great black cloud seemed to have suddenly blotted out all the sunshine in his life.

The returning officer stepped outside. There was immediate silence.

I am grieved to inform you that James Lorett, your newly elected member, is

dead," he said.

FRIENDS AGAIN,

It was early in the new year, some three months after James Lovett's tragle death. Harry Burney was elected by a large major-! ily at the next election, and as one of the members for Paddington. Several times had he called as Juburn, and been refused admission, at least no one would see him, which amounted to the same thing. He was anxious to explain to Susie everything that had taken place on the fatal day, but had no opportunity of seeing her, This troubled bin greatly; he was much attached to her and wished to justify himself, to prove he was not responsible for her father's death. Her accusation was unjust and It troubled him to think she misjudged him, Failing Susie, he tried to see Geoff, with no better result..

Edgar Unsworth saw him when he came to Richmond on his third visit, regarded him with animosity and said curtly, in answer to his enquiry, that Mr. Lovett was in Sydney. This was correct, but Harry did not believe

him.

"I must see him," he said. "It is intoler-

able that I should be accused of being the

cause of James Lovett's death and have no opportunity of explaining everything...

"It needs very little explanation," said Edgar.

You think I caused his death?" asked Harry bitterly.

"Indirectly, yes."

"I did not.'

"You made an accusation against him that in his state of health was dangerous; ho suffered from heart disease."

I was not aware of it."

He was hardly conscious of it himself Nevertheless it was the direct cause of his death, due to over-excitement," said Edgar. "Geoff and I have been friends ever since I met him as a lad at school."

"I know," said Edgar, who had a solt heare and liked Harry."

sad

I am sure he would forgive me the un- intenticual part: I played in that tragedy."

Wait a little, give him time: give theni both time," advised Edgar.

I have tried to see Miss Lovett," said Harry.

"I know."

She told you?" "Yes."

Why will she not see me?" She says she cannot bear it: that to speak to you would recall the terrible shock she has not yet recovered from."

Harry's distress was visible in his face. Edgar Unsworth relented still more. He know Burney was much attached to Susie, and te beleved she returned his affection. Gathering something of his feelings, Harry took courage.

"Will you help me to regain my friends he said.

- Confound it," blurted out Edgar, “I can't stand it. I wish things were as they used to be. I'm sure Geoff's miserable, and so is his sister."

"You have much influence over them, cannot you bring a meeting about with Geoff?" said Harry

To see you. I am sure he feels the separation, the barrier that has come between you.

"I was always fond of Harry; when did he leave?"

"He hasn't left."

*You don't mean to say he's here in the house?"

**Yes.-induced him to stay. I thought it might bring about a reconciliation."

You're a good sore, Edgar." "Not at all, I'm your chum.. I want to see you the same as you were before it all happened."

And so you shall; the first thing to be done is to get Susie away from Double Bay for a time. Where's Harry?"

In the back room. Call him," said

Edgar,

Geoff opened the door.

Come out of hiding, okď chap, I know where you are," he called.

Harry Burney could hardly believe his cars, Geoff calling for him, then it was all right, what a rattling good fellow Edgar Unsworth was

He went slowly along the hall. Geoff met him, shook his hand, and said:

**I am glad you stayed, I want to talk to you."

Edgar quietly slipped from the room. "Have you forgiven me?" asked Harry, "Yes, I think so, you made some bitter attacks on poor old dad."

Perhaps I did, but I assure you had known the danger he was in I would not have made the rust accusation," said Harry

You were misled, it is not true," said

Geoff.

It is," said Harry slowly. Geoff fired up at once as he said:

I am surprised at your saying so."

have absolute proof," said Harry, **Jcannot believe it," Harry explained what he had been told by Dick Birr and two or three more."

It was Louis Banal who worked it; he knew your father."

"I believe he did."

I wonder what he was paid for it." said Harry,

You think my father paid him to get the voles."

**Yes, probably a large sum," said Harry In that case there "would be some trace of it at the bank," said Geoff.

"Undoubtedly, without he was paid in notne or gold."

"That's unlikely," said Geoff.

RHEUMATISM,

"IT WAS DR. WILLIAMS' PINK PILLS THAT SET ME RIGHT.“

"No sooner had I got over a bout of low fever some fourteen months ago than Rheumatic pain attacked one of my legs,” mid Mr. Ales Thomas Délices, a compositor in the "Flam Observer" Office, at Bangkok.

"The muscles of the leg became tight, and agonising twitching paius darted through them. My onlf swelled up, and was so painful that I was unable to walk. In spite of medical treatment Rheumatism became more pronounced, and for weeks I could do no work. It was impossible to get proper alsop at nights, and I became exceedingly irritable and low spirited because of the ever nagging pain I suffered,
