A BUMMARY OF THE POSITION. It is now some two years sinco military operations in Somalilaud against the Mallab, Haji Mahomed Ablafla, began, and as these operations are about to enter upon a new phase, and to become of a more extensive chamotor, it may be well to recapitulate what has already taken place. We are indebted to the Times of India for the following summary of the position. In December, 1901, the Mollah appeared in the eighbourhond of Buran, a post some seventy-live miles 8.8. E. of Berbera and some sevenly within the southern border of the British Somaliland Protectorate, with a gather ing of some 10,000 men.
