FINAL

Twenty-six years of Scottish non-success in the Army Cup looked to be a broken record when 1st Battalion Royal Scots were leading 16th/5th Queen's Royal Lancers after half an hour of the Final at Aldershot. The Scottish hoodoo, however, persisted and the Lancers piled on six goals to win the trophy for the first time in the Regiment's history. It was also the first time a Corps side or Training Regiment had not con- tested the Final since the last War.
