Third Race Meeting

By "RAPIER”

Racing fans will be provided with two days of their sport at the Valley when the Hongkong Jockey Club holds its Third Race Meeting of the new season, the first part of which will be tomorrow afternoon and the second part on Monday. Eight events are down for decision tomorrow afternoon, with no change in the usual time of starting, but on Monday there will be 10 races and the first bell will be rung at 11.30 a.m. with the tiffin interval after the fourth race.

The principal event toinarrow, stands a godd chance of winning afternoon is the Bennet's Hill here. Hondenp for Class 1 ponies. Eureka (Peter Y. T. Wêt) is Hill quite at home over this distance

It will be railed upon to carry 146 lbs tomorrow, but due to the short distance and the fact that it come second in the Chine Handlenp (First Section) over Six Furlongs, carrying 142 lbs, at the Second Race Meeting. I, believe that it can shoulder this extra weight and win.

The strongest oppositioh will come from Hiram C (Alex Lam). This pony is certainly very it and may prove danger- ous, and win from this com bination is not impossible.

Sunstreak (Lan King-tak) should fill third place, with Empire

Rose (C. W. Wong) the best outsider.
