A LABYRINTH
A 40-year-old building, No. 341, Nathan Road, said by Mr Leslie Wright, to house a veritable labyrinth of business firms and stall-holders, was the subject of exemption proceedings which opened before Tenancy Tribunal this morning.
If the application is approved, the house will be replaced by a nine-storey structure coating $515,000, including a $65,000 lift.
Mr W. F. Pickering presided over the Tribunal comprising Mr Lo Man-hin and Mr A.K. Murray. They heard evidence by Mr Wong Yuc-zon managing director of the China Motor Bus Company, and owner of the building concerned since 1926.
