One Man Had Almost Finished
Two-Months' Prison Term
Mr Justice C. W. Reece in the Appeal Court this morning quashed two Magistrates' convictions which Crown Counsel, Mr M. Morley-John, did not support.
In one case the appellant had almost completed his term of im- prisonment and was due for release on Saturday.

Kowloon's Peninsula Hotel will soon have another arcade like the one on the Hankow Road alde, it was learned this morning. «
This arcade which will have offices on either side will take the place of the Kowloon branch of the Hongkong, and Shanghai Banking Corporation. The bank announced this morning that it would move to the hotel's annexe, Peninsula Court and open for busi- ness there next Monday.
The demolition of the old bank offiots will begin some- time next month and in the new arcade will be airline offices. It is hoped to complete these offices towards the end of the year.
An official of the Hongkong &. Shanghai Hotels Ltd, owners of the Penitisula Hotel, told the China Mall this morning: "We have quite a waiting list for office space in the Peninsula.
