By A SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT Hongkong Wharves had a spectacular rise on the Hongkong Stock Exchange gaining $7 on the week when the market closed yesterday on a quiet and steady note.

The turnover for the week was $3.26 million with a tally of eight higher, seven unchanged and nine lower as compared with the previous week's tally of ten higher, five unchanged and nine lower.
