Washington, Dec, 28.
Representative Patrick Hillings, back from a trip through Russia and other Communist countries, said today: "There is little likelihood of war with Russia in 1956."
Mr Hillings, one of many Congress- men who visited Russia during the Con- gressional recess, told the Silver Spring (Maryland) Rotary Club that as long as the United States maintained superiority Russia "won't take a chance" on starting
a war.
He sold he was satisfied that this country had more and bet. fer places, basea and nuclear weapons than the Sovicka.
Mr Hillings predicted that the Chinese Communists would con- tinue pressure on Formosa next year and would make a concen- trated effort to capture Indo resin and other Asiatic territory by internal subversion,

Proposals for helping the farmers at the moment look like having greater success. Next year is an election year and control of both the Congress and the presidency will largely depend on whether the farmers vote Democratic or Re- publican in November.
