London, Oct. 11. Britain had a surplus of £17 million in her payments with the rest of the world during the first half of 1955, the Treasury disclosed today.
This compares with a surplus of £165 million in the first half of 1954. Without £33 million of United States aid, there would have been no surplus at all.
