SOCCER ON THE INSIDE

(Edited by Terence Elliott and Sam Leitch)

Quickfire criticism of Arsenal and their stopper centre-half technique brings Tommy Lawion to the Highbury defence, with facts and figures.

"Do you know," says Tom, waving a large notebook, "from season 1929-30 to 1938-9, Aracnal scored an average of 89.8 goals per season. Highest was season 80-1 with 127 goala; lowest was 38-0 with 55 goals.
