A submission that a sum of US$176,000-odd (released by the US Government after it had been frozen under its freezing regulations) was a sum which had nothing to do with plaintiffs but which was a sum defendant bank owed its New York correspondents was made by Mr John McNeill, QC, senior Counsel for plaintiffs when he con- tinued his final submissions in the $21⁄2-million deposit claim before Mr Justice Reynolds in the Supreme Court this morning.
