MEET ALL-COMERS

The Rowe sisters, Diane and Rosalind, London's famous Table Tennis Twins, are training arduously for the World Championships which are to be played at Wembley next week.

Guiding them in their final spells of practice is the great Victor Barns, who hopes to bring them to their peak at Wembley. 'Diane' and Rosalind achieved world fame as doubles players, but this year they are hoping that one of them may bring home the singles title which no British girl has won since the World Championshipa started in 1927,

SCOTTISH SPORTS SUMMARY

SCOTTISH FA SELECTORS WILL HAVE TO RECTIFY WORLD CUP BLUNDER

By "MAC"

The Scottish Football Association selectors have made one of the biggest blunders over the World Cup. There is still time to rectify it but they are afraid to do so in case they "look silly."

That is the opinion freely held in top Scottish soccer circles on the decision: to send only 13 players to Switzerland for the Tournament.
