SCOTLAND PLAY WALES AT NINIAN PARK TOMORROW
By PETER DITTON
Scotland, who last season went through the home International season with the assistance of only four Anglo-Scots, have made a complete sweep for the new season and the side to meet Wales at Ninian Park on October 18 contains no fewer than six players with English clubs. A seventh, Steel of Dundee, has had con- siderable experience with Derby County.
This changeover by the Scottish selectors has obviously been influenced by Scotland's failure to gain better than a poor third place in the International Cham- pionship last season. Defeats were suffered at the hands of England and Wales.

At the end of the first day's play of their farewell two-day match. against the Colony side, Jack Chegwyn's Australian cricket XI were 78 runs behind with six wickets in hand.
During the 289 minutes and 182 overs, replete with their share of good cricket, thrilling moments and fluctuating⋅ fortunes, the Hongkong side had exceeded- ex- pectations by holding their own, and a sensational bowling spell in the last two overs of the day in which four. Australian wickets fell for no runs placed them within the possible reach of an historic achievement ---- even though it may just be a frst innings lend on the Australiens.

The next Australian wicket to fall was that of Morris in the same over off Craig, when Monis off-drove him, but Alex- ander at mid-off dived forward to make a splendid low catch.
With the last ball of the over, Craig nearly claimed his third victim but wicketkeeper Leriau dropped what would have been a cuteki.
