THE pavements of Paris are brutally hard. Especially if you have to walk on your knees. «
Jose Ferrer is spending his days on his knees hobbling around Puris. He has special pair of legs fitted to his knee-caps while his own are strapped back.
It looks painful. "It 15," says Ferrer. "It is oven worse when

This is Alm making, of course. The picture is "Moulin Rouge," the story of the crippled Frenett painter Toulouse-Lautrec, 4 ft. 8 ins. tail, who died 50 years ago.
He spent much of his time painting and sketch- ing the singers and dancers in the Paris restaurant Moulin Rouge. Often the tablecloth was his casei, and his cane was hallowed out to hold brandy, which he drank from a glass fitted under the gold top of the stick.
