By LORD BURGHLEY

On July 19, in the huge Olympic Stadium at Helsinki, the last of a flaring torch from Olympia, Greece, home a relay of runners bearing of the original Olympic Games, to Helsinki will arrive. The Olympic Hame will be lit, and the XVth Olympiad will open.

It is surely significant, too, that for the two weeks of these Games there will be one sphere in this troubled world in which there will be no Iron Curtain. Russia and the countries close to her are taking their place among the sixty-odd nations competing under the friendly banner of sport.

This, surely, makes the Olympiad of even more profound importance. It is not just a World Championship of Sport; it is also a gathering of the cream of the youth of the world.
