PUNISHMENT
By "GRANDSTAND”
High scores in the Ladies Softball League have been nothing un- common to followers of the sport, but the home plate in the Men's divisions last week took some heavy punishment that made the female tussles look tame by comparison.
Fans are sit talking about the splurge of 15 runs, by the Madcaps over the Canucks in the "A" Division tilt, all of them being scored in one inning to eclipse the pair of nines by the Junior Dodgers and the cluster of 12 by the Red Sox in the "B" section.
It was a devastating chapter in the Canuck effort to chalk up their first win of the season and this came about in the latter half of the game when it seemed that the Maple Leafers had that elusive Win within their grasp.
