SING TAO WINS 5-0 IN THE FEATURE MATCH OF A POOR SOCCER WEEK-END

By "SPIV"

The First Division League return clash between South China and Sing Tao yesterday made complete a week-end of paltry soccer, ending in a win for Sing Tao by five goals to nil.

The game was actually over in less than 35 minutes, although the score then was only one goal against South China. Mok Chun-wah had a relapse of his knee Injury in the 20th minute of the first half and eight minutes before the interval Pau King-yin, the South China goalkeeper, sustained a nasty gash on the forehead in a collision with Sing Tao's Lee Hung-kee and Hau Ching-te.

Both Lee and Pau dropped out of the game, leaving Sing Tao with 10 players and South China only nine players on the field. Lee rejoined his team just before the interval, but for the remainder of the first half the depleted South Ching team held back the Tigers from further scoring.

South the resumption, On China took the field with nine men, and for the whole of the #woond half the empacity crowd of about 12,000 were treated to the hilarious and lateral pr ele of an uneven buttie duung which there was at times not a single South China de- even fender
