Competition

Said Inevitable

(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT)

London, Nov. 27.

The view that guarantees against a revival of Japanese trade competition cannot be written into the peace treaty is fully supported this morn- ing by the British Press.

"Treaty or no treaty, the threat of Japanese competition is inevitable," says the Daily Tele- graph.

Realism is also the keynote of the Financial Times' leader which takes a long view of the threat to the trade not only from Japan but from British export Germany too.

Anglo-Iranian's Sharp Attack On Teheran Regime

London, Nov. 27.

The annual report of the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company, Ltd., published tonight, charges the Iranian Government with a "distortion of facts" and with presenting the Company to the world "in a completely false light."

Sir William Fraser, Chairman of the Com- pany, in his statement to stockholders, reviews the conflict over Iran oil which flared up this year between the company and the Iranian Government led by Premier Mohammed Mossadegh. He winds up this review with a sharp attack on the Iranian Government.
