Cairo, Nov. 19.
The British Command and Egyptian govern- ment in the Suez Canal Zone declared a truce in Ismailia today after a weekend battle which killed 15 British troops, Egyptian policemen and civilians. More than 30 persons were wounded..
The Provincial government agreed to disarm its police and the British promised to remove its remaining military families as fast as possible from the bloody midway city on the canal.
United Press reports that the truce will be of seven days' duration.
Iarnailia was the scene of the first outbreak of violence in mid-October when Egypt told the British they must get out of the Canal Zone. Now it is re- duced from its normal 100,000 population to about 40,000 as a result of Egyptian families fleeing.

The question of supplying ships with fresh water also appears to call for reconsideration. Shipping companies,
