ECA Official's Analysis Of Far East Problems

Baguio, Nov. I.

The same problems which faced the United States in its infancy are now confronting the free nations of the Far East, said Mr R. Allen Griffin, newly appointed Economic Co-operation Adminis tration (ECA) special representative for the area.

Mr Griffin told a conference of ECA mission chiefs from six Far Eastern countries and officials from Washington headquarters that he hoped the American aid programme will result in closer spiritual bonds between the peoples of Asia and the people of America.
