Living Costs In Canada Now Higher Than U.S.

Ottawa, Sept. 3.

For years living costs in Canada were a lot lower than they were in the United States. Now, says the Bank of Canada, it is the other way round.

In June, says the Bank in its monthly statistical summary, the paths of the two indexes crossed. The U.S. index levelled off. The one in Canada kept on climbing.
