Further proof of Hongkong's ability to stay among the world's best at table tennis was given yesterday to a capacity crowd at Southern Playground when the Colony stars routed the world seventh-ranking Vietnam team by five games to one.
This was the second defeat sustained by the visitors out of their three matches in Hongkong. In the opening match they edged out third ranking Chi Chun by 5-4, but went down by 3-5 to the local champions, Wing San, in the second match.
They leave for Macao today and are expected to be back in the Colony on July 5 before returning to Vietnam.
