Britain's sportsmen recently have become extrama- ly "World Cup" conscious, and this interest con bo traced to the brilliant form displayed by both England and Scotland in their World Cup-tios. The gool scoring achievements of the two attacks has been a revelation to the experts, and the spirit of adventure the English and Scots have shown in their play is similar to that I have noted in the gay opproach of Sweden, Spain, Switzerland and Portugal, to mention but a few other countries with World Cup ambitions at Rio de Janeiro in the summer of 1950.
