AN OPEN LETTER TO CHAR- LES LOSEBY.

Dear Charles,

On reading over what I saidi ut the last tafdem Club meeting, I stli feel that i am right and that we should, rightly or wrongly, "all our colours to the midst not procrastinale," but to my haste 1 averlooked stating clearly Mough the extent of the debt that 1, the Reforth Club, and the peo- ple of Hong Kong owe you? should like to acknowledge that debt with this letter,

My deepest regret is that I did not have the opportunity to slop you from sending in your resting- tion as Chairman, because you have always been 100% sincere and, rightly or wrongly, we inust acknowledge that it was your youthful enthusiasm, your urge to right wrongs, your intense hatred of sycophaney and everything that savoured of falsity and of "doing that the wrong things rightly were the very foundation stönes of the modest structure known "The Reform Club of Hong Kong." May I hope that our own rather "young" ebullience and conteit as to our own opinions will hot drive you from association with us?.

I will go on record to say that, It and when constitutional reform comes in, and it and when you should set up as a candidate for election, there is no one in Hong Kong would more readily chat my vote for.

Yours sincerely,

MARCUS DA SILVA.
